Strategy Note
This infographic is designed to show that youth sports access is increasingly shaped by cost, and to position DICK’S Sporting Goods as a brand that recognizes and responds to that barrier. It begins with statistics on rising family spending and participation in organized sports to establish the scale and relevance of the issue, then connects those realities to DICK’S own commitment to supporting young athletes. By doing so, the messaging moves beyond product promotion and instead reinforces the campaign’s core idea, “No Barriers. Just the Game.” Strategically, this aligns with the brand by linking DICK’S identity in sport, community, and youth participation with a broader public issue: access. Altogether, the infographic helps frame DICK’S not simply as a retailer, but as a credible advocate for inclusion, opportunity, and long-term participation in sport.
